We reached out to District of North Vancouver Fire Chief Victor Penman a few weeks ago was delighted to hear that they too are interested in supplying some of their front line trucks with a few packages as well. The District Fire Dept and City Fire Dept are actively involved in the North Shore Homeless Task Force. I think this a great initiative and a global North Shore community effort in truly benefiting those in need and working towards a maintainable solutions.

We are the founders of this grass roots organization located in North Vancouver, B.C. Canada. Our primary goal is to provide some basic comforts for those unattached and less fortunate during the winter months. We build "Winter" care packages that contain items that are all new. The winter package contains toques, gloves, socks, rain poncho, hand warmers, packets and packets of hot chocolate, tea bags and coffee. We have a package for men and women. The women's packages also contain feminine hygiene products and depending on availability, hand or facial cream or shampoo/conditioner. "No one wants to be cold, hungry, scared and homeless by choice." "Homelessness does not discriminate and neither should we."
